How to Adjust Snowboard Binding for Riding Switch

Snowboards allow users to select which foot they would like to have facing forward, or downhill, based on personal preference. If you prefer having your left foot forward, you are a 'regular' rider, and if your right foot forward is most comfortable, you ride "goofy." Switching the bindings will allow you to change this stance, otherwise known as "switch" riding. You can quickly and easily adjust the bindings on your board and be riding switch in no time.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the board on a flat work surface with the bindings facing upward.

    • 2

Loosen the retaining screws that connect each binding to the board. Between the binding and the board is a center disc which allows you to alter the angle of the bindings without fully removing the retaining screws.

    • 3

Rotate the bindings to the same angle, but facing the opposite direction. You can adjust the angle of each binding to suit your personal preference.

    • 4

Re-tighten the retaining screws to secure the bindings in their new position.

    • 5

Stand with your feet in the newly adjusted bindings and re-adjust them as necessary by loosening the screws and rotating the bindings until you acquire a comfortable riding stance.
