1
Bend your knees while approaching the drop-in of the super pipe. Lean forward as you descend the sloping wall of the super pipe ramp. Rotate your shoulders while pointing the nose of the snowboard toward the opposing wall.
-
2
Extend your legs while riding across the flat bottom of the super pipe to maintain snowboard speed. Lean back while ascending the sloping wall of the ramp. Shift your body weight onto the rear binding of the snowboard as you approach the summit of the super pipe.
-
3
Lean back as the nose of your snowboard slides over the top lip of the ramp. Extend your legs to leap skyward to initiate the back flip. Throw your shoulders backward as the snowboard lifts off the ramp.
-
4
Look to the ground as you reach the inverted position of the back flip. Pull your knees toward your chest as the snowboard flips around. Lean forward as you complete the flip to keep the underside of the snowboard parallel to the ground.
-
5
Bend your knees as the snowboard touches down onto the top deck of the super pipe. Rotate the snowboard horizontally on the snow to slow your momentum. Drop back into the ramp to practice the flipping technique.
