Singletrack Figure Eight

Totaling an elevation change of 900 feet, this trail is for moderate to advanced riders only. Singletrack Figure Eight is a loop trail, meaning that the starting point is the same as the ending point. Located in the Montaña de Oro State Park, the trail is 7.7 miles long and is open year round. You may obtain a map of the trail at the visitor center as you enter the park.
Hazard Canyon Peak Trail

Hazard Canyon includes two trails, the Manzanita Trail and Bloody Nose Trail, to form a six-mile loop. To access Hazard Canyon, you must enter the Montaña de Oro State Park. Enjoy the scenic views as you climb the canyon and reach the end of the Manzanita Trail. There is an amazing lookout point, overlooking Morro Bay, where you can catch your breath before descending the Bloody Nose Trail. The Manzanita trail is intermediate, while the Bloody Nose Trail is extremely steep and challenging.
Portolo Point

Requiring a combined elevation change of 1,000 feet, the Portolo Point trail is guaranteed to get your heart rate racing while you take in the astonishing ocean panorama. A well-known landmark of San Luis Obispo County, Morro Rock and Morro Bay are in plain view from the Portolo Point lookout. This single-track trail has very few flat spots, so get ready for some serious leg-burning segments. The trail is regulated by Morro Bay State Park and is open year round.
