1
Loosen the cable stop bolt of the rear brake using a 5 mm hex wrench. Snip the end of the cable with a pair of cable cutters, then pull the cable out of the housing that runs over the bike frame. Close the rear brake lever and remove the brake cable end from its holder on the brake lever.

2
Loosen and remove the stem compression cap using a 5 mm hex wrench. Loosen the stem side-bolts using a 6 mm hex wrench, then pull the stem and handlebars off the steertube. Pull the steertube, fork and front wheel out from underneath the headtube of the bike and set them aside for now.

3
Remove the upper headset cup from the headtube of the frame using a headset cup remover. Slide the remover up into the headtube until it stops, then hit it with a hammer a few times until the headset cup separates from the frame.
-
4
Set the new Oryg headset cup into place on your headset cup installer, then compress the headset cup into the frame where you removed the previous cup.
-
5
Slide the bearing unit into place over the upper headset cup you just installed. Make sure the "L" brackets on the bearing unit point down toward the ground. Slide the fork steertube back into the headtube of the bike and slide about 1 to 2 inches of headset spacers onto the steertube. Slide the Oryg upper cable stop plate into place over these spacers.

6
Set the stem and handlebars back into place over the upper cable stop plate. Reinstall the stem compression cap using a 5 mm hex wrench. Line up the handlebars with the front wheel, then tighten the stem side-bolts using a 6 mm hex wrench. Shake the handlebars back and forth a few times to be sure the new setup is secure.

7
Connect the upper Oryg brake cable to the rear brake lever cable end mount. Thread the four included Oryg barrel adjusters into place on the upper cable stop and lower cable stop brackets and tighten each with a 10 mm wrench. Slide the two ends of the upper cable through the upper cable stop bracket and set the ends in place on the "L" brackets of the bearing unit.
-
8
Attach the lower Oryg brake cable to the lower cable stop bracket. Run the cable through the housing mounts on your bike's frame to the rear brake just above or just below the rear wheel. Slide the cable into the rear brake cable stop, close the rear brake with your hand, then tighten the rear brake cable stop using a 5 mm hex wrench.
