About Electric Motocross Goggles
-
Business
-
Electric has been around since 2000. It was founded in Orange County, California, by Kip Arnette and Bruce Beach. Since this time, Electric has become a standard name in sunglasses and goggles and sponsors a variety of teams. Electric currently has offices all over the world, including Australia, Canada and Europe. In 2008, Electric was acquired by Volcom, the large skateboarding company.
Moto Goggles
-
Electric only offers one model of motocross goggles, the EG1 MX. Electric uses the frame of its EG1 snow goggles for these motocross goggles.
Features
-
In order to meet the rugged demands of motocross riders, the EG1 MX features silicone straps and tear-off posts to enhance durability. The goggles also feature triple-layer face foam to provide comfort and fit. Lenses come with anti-fog coating and scratch-resistant coating. While MX goggles are sold with clear lenses only, the frame is the same as the EG1 snowboard goggle, so switching in colored lenses built for the snowboard goggles is possible.
Styles
-
The EG1 MX comes in several different style and color combinations. Pair clear lenses with a variety of frame/strap styles, including gloss black, gloss white and volt fade.
Team
-
Electric sponsors a team of motocross riders from around the world. Electric riders include Derek Garland, Marc Fischer and Jolene Van Vugt.
Misconceptions
-
Although this information focused on motocross goggles produced by Electric Visual, electric motocross goggles could also refer to goggles that use an electric fan to combat fogging. One such model is the Smith Turbo Option.
