How to Set Up a Booth at a UFC Event

If you'e ever worked a trade show or staffed a booth for a company at a fair, you can draw on that experience to host a successful booth at a UFC event. If booth setup is totally new to you, there are just a few basic things for you to work through to ensure that your booth doesn't get overlooked at the event. Before you register for a booth, develop a clear vision for why you want a booth at the UFC event, what you plan to offer guests and what kind of return you want on your investment. Think of your booth as an investment in your business and an opportunity to portray yourself in a fun, but professional and engaging manner to the visitors at the UFC event.

Instructions

Contact the organizers or website for the UFC event you are interested in registering a booth at. Find out how much it will cost to setup your booth and whether or not you want one display spot or two next to each other so that you can create a larger display. Learn what is included in the price (such as space, table and chairs) and what you will need to furnish yourself (tablecloths, display stands, booth identification).

    • 2

Prepare promotional materials to display at your booth including posters, postcards, brochures, business cards, t-shirts, hats or other items you can both give away and sell with your name and logo displayed on them.

    • 3

Decide which product(s) you will display at the event; if you provide MMA (mixed martial arts) training, set up a TV with a looping video of real training sessions you provide. Consider setting up a mat and staging training demonstrations in the middle of your booth at different times during the event to attract attention to your booth.

    • 4

Know the schedule for the event and plan your booth activities accordingly. Bring something desirable to give away in a contest, such as tickets to an upcoming UFC event, or free merchandise. Collect contact information, such as names and email addresses or phone numbers, in exchange for entry into the contest for the free tickets/merchandise.

Arrive at the event early so that your booth is set up before the first guest arrives. Bring two or more additional people with you to staff your booth so that you can take turns observing the other booths at the event, getting ideas for improvements you can make to your own booth.
