How to Install Frame Sliders on a 2002 Yamaha R6
Although as riders we hope never to need them, frame sliders are a necessary component for reducing the amount of damage that your bike endures in the event of an accident. The two sliders on the 2002 Yamaha R6 are mounted to the frame without the need for drilling. Also known as "No Cut" sliders, they are mounted directly forward of the motor's crank case and protrude about two inches beyond the widest point on the bike, which is the crank case.
