How to: Longboard Kickflip
While their bulky design can make tricks difficult, longboards are fully capable of withstanding pop shuvits, ollies and the like. Longboard tricks aren't that much removed from skateboard tricks. However, performing a longboard kickflip is somewhat harder than doing it on a regular board. You may need to practice many times before mastering it.
Things You'll Need

1
Kick down hard on the tail to get airborne. Simultaneously slide your front foot in a backward motion to begin the spin. Basically, you will kick the board backward. It should come one or two inches off the ground.
-
2
Return your feet to the board before it returns to its original position. Land with your knees bent, as you would with a skateboard kickflip.
-
3
Practice the kickflip on grass until you master it. Since kickflips on a longboard are much harder, you'll have a higher chance of falling down and sustaining injury. Go onto concrete and harder surfaces only once you are fully confident in your longboard kickflip.
