Whether you are an avid skateboarder or novice that is just starting out, you have probably entertained the idea of having your board attached to your feet. It just seems easier. Foot straps give you more control over the board and allow you to leave the ground with the board by lifting your feet as you would jumping. Making your own foot straps can be done in minutes.

Remove the trucks from your skateboard. Hold the four bolt near the truck in place with your wrench while turning each corresponding screw counter-clockwise with your Phillips head screwdriver. Do this for all four screws for each truck until the they are both completely removed from the skateboard deck.

Wrap your inner tube lengthwise around your skateboard deck. Center it on the board so that the tube intersects with the small rectangular marks left by your trucks.

    • 3

Reattach your trucks using your Phillips head screwdriver and wrench. Place the trucks over the inner tube. The four bolts for each truck will frame the edges of the inner tube and sandwich it between the skateboard deck and trucks.
