How to Make a Nose Protecter

The nose end of a longboard can protrude a few inches past its wheels. If you've ever accidentally rubbed a wall or hit a curb, you know how easy it is for the nose to crack, split or just get marked up. The easiest way to prevent this damage is to attach a nose protector to the end of the longboard. While you can buy a nose protector from a skateboard shop, you can easily make one yourself out of duct tape.

Instructions

    • 1

Sit the longboard on its tail and prop the length of it against the inside of one of your legs.

    • 2

Cut a piece of duct tape that is long enough to go along the edge of the longboard's nose.

    • 3

Apply this piece of duct tape to the longboard's nose. Part of the width of the duct tape will be on the top and bottom of the longboard.

    • 4

Cut five more pieces of duct tape to the same length as the piece in Step 2.

    • 5

Apply these five pieces of duct tape on top of each other on the longboard's nose.

    • 6

Press the tape firmly into the edge of the nose with your hands.
