Set up your camera on a tripod or other stable surface to make sure your video on cutting the grip tape is clear. Turn on your camera and make sure it is aimed at the location where you will be talking and performing this task.
-
2
Use a model of your finished grip tape design to open your video. This will show viewers what you will be showing them how to make. For this reason, design and cut the grip tape to fit one of the skate decks prior to starting the video.

3
Determine how you want to approach this video tutorial, and set out all your supplies in front of the video camera. If you need to make notes to help you during this presentation, do so at this time.
-
4
Turn on the video camera and begin your tutorial of the grip tape design. Carefully explain each of your steps for designing this feature of the skateboard. Position the camera over the grip tape as you take your pencil and create the design, making sure viewers can see exactly what you are doing. If necessary, stop the video camera, reposition it and start recording again.
-
5
Use your knife and cut out the design of the grip tape sheet, making sure the video camera is aimed at your hands for clear visibility. Apply the grip tape to the skateboard and explain exactly how to do this to the viewers of your video. Finish the procedure and stop the recording.
