1
Download a paper soccer jersey pattern with the logo of the team of your choice. The pattern will consist of a large piece that makes up the torso of the shirt and two smaller pieces that comprise the sleeves. There are also large numbers you can cut out to indicate a specific player.
-
2
Print out the template on heavy cardstock. Print on white paper because the templates are already designed in the official colors of the team. Use glossy paper to give the finished shirt a better appearance.
-
3
Cut out the template pieces, being careful not to sever the tabs on the pieces. Cut out the numbers you wish to have on your jersey.
-
4
Bend the torso piece of the pattern in a cylinder shape and bring the sides together. The colored areas should meet but not overlap. The long tab should be taped inside the cylinder.
-
5
Stand the cylinder on the table and tape the shoulders together with one tab on each shoulder. Leave two tabs exposed over each shoulder. You will use them when securing the sleeves.
-
6
Tape the sleeve pieces into smaller cylinders, making sure the tabs are inside the cylinders and that the colored areas meet. Do not leave a white seam showing between the colored areas.
-
7
Clip one side of the triangular dart tabs on the front and back of each armhole of the torso and tape them under the colored shirt section. This adds body shape to the torso.
-
8
Tape the sleeve cylinders to the top of the jersey, covering the shoulder tabs. Tape the smaller tabs on the sleeve pieces under the torso piece. Ensure the model now looks like a soccer jersey.
-
9
Tape the numbers you chose onto the back of the jersey. Now you have a paper team jersey that stands on its own.
