How to Make a Metal Fingerboard Rail
A grind rail allows you to test your fingerboard skills in an obstacle that focuses on precision and balance. Things You'll Need
- 1/2-inch Hollow aluminum rod, 8 inches long
- 3-inch wooden cubes, 2
- 3/8-inch drill bit
- Electric drill
- 3/8-inch nails, 2
- Hammer

Drill a hole into either side of the aluminum rod about 1 inch from the end. Drill the hole all the way through the rod.

Place the two wooden cubes 6 inches apart, then lay the metal rod between them. The rod should suspend across the gap. Position the rod in the center of both cubes.

Hammer a single nail into either end of the rod. Hit the nail down into the block through the railing, connecting the rail to the two wooden cubes. Tap the nail in as far as it can go.
