How to Do a Kickflip With a Sole Skate

The series of movements that comprises the kickflip is done in a matter of seconds, but could leave a lasting impression on spectators. The kickflip is one of the most basic skateboard tricks, and it can also be accomplished on a sole skate. It requires the rider to flip the skateboard in the air, then use his foot to kick the board into a 360-degree spin before landing. A sole skate is like a skateboard, except it only has three wheels and is much shorter.

Instructions

    • 1

Place both feet on your sole skate and roll at a medium speed. Position the front foot on the front of the board, and back foot on the board's tail.

    • 2

Bend your knees and lift your front foot off the board. The momentum of the front foot lifting must help to pop your entire body up. The weight of your back foot still on the board will pop the sole skate up into the air.

    • 3

Remove the back foot from the board and include it in your jump. Move the front foot underneath the airborne sole skate, and use the foot to force the board into a 360 spin. Allow the board to spin a full 360 degrees. This entire action will happen in two to three seconds.

Position your feet back on the top of the sole skate, and land on all three wheels.
