How to Make a Skate Logo

Skateboarding brands offer a variety of products from boards and wheels to bearings and shoes. According to the 2011 Transworld Skateboarding Buyer's Guide, most companies have a brightly colored graphic that is printed on their signature products. Skateboard logos often feature an abbreviation of the company name. Create your own skate logo with a little imagination and a few simple tools. Design a custom setup by painting your logo on the bottom of a blank skateboard.

Instructions

    • 1

Combine your favorite aspects of numerous skate logos to create your own custom design. Draw a rough pencil sketch of the logo onto a piece of paper. Continue the sketching process until you're satisfied with the graphic.

    • 2

Trace the logo onto a large piece of cardboard. Cut around the pencil line to make a signature stencil of your new logo.

    • 3

Flip your blank skateboard upside down. Align the stencil across the middle of the skateboard. Choose a spray paint that matches the color scheme of the skateboard deck. Depress the head of the can to spray paint across the stencil.

    • 4

Remove the piece of cardboard to examine the newly-stenciled deck. Allow the paint to dry for 30 minutes to 1 hour to prevent your logo from smudging.
