Tricks With a RipStik Fingerboard
-
Shove It
-
The shove it refers to a caster boarding trick that causes the board to rotate 90 degrees in the air. Skateboarders commonly refer to the trick as the pop shove it. While performing tricks on your RipStik fingerboard, make sure to place your index finger at the front of the board. To initiate the shove it, push your RipStik fingerboard forward across a smooth riding surface. Push down on the back of the fingerboard with your middle finger to lift the front wheel. Scoop your middle finger toward you to rotate the board in the air. Allow the back of the fingerboard to rotate to a forward position. Lower your fingers onto fingerboard to complete a trick defined as the backside shove it. To perform a front-side shove it, flick your middle finger away from you.
Flips
-
As opposed to rotating the RipStik fingerboard, flip tricks involve the board spinning upside down. For a kickflip, utilize the same technique to lift the front wheel of your fingerboard. Flick your index finger toward you as the RipStik fingerboard ascends into the air. This will cause the miniature board to flip. Place your fingers onto the top of the board as it finishes spinning. The heelflip spins in the opposite direction as the kickflip. Flick your forefinger away from you to flip the board in the air. Perform the same landing techniques as the fingerboard completes the heelflip.
Slides
-
Fingerboard slides take place on various obstacles. The edges of hard covered text books are often used as ledges for fingerboard tricks. A slide refers to a trick that involves gliding across objects with the plastic underside of the RipStik fingerboard. Hold a pencil horizontal with the riding surface to create your own fingerboard rail. Perform a board slide by gliding across the pencil with the middle section of your RipStik fingerboard. To perform a nose slide, push down on the back of the fingerboard as you reach the edge of a textbook. Lift the front section of your RipStik fingerboard to land on the 90-degree edge. Slide across the book by pushing the fingerboard forward.
