Transport your RipStik to a smoothly paved area. Identify the tail of the RipStik which features a an inclined edge. Lift your RipStik onto its two wheels using the toes of your left foot. Place your left foot onto the front section of the RipStik, referred to as the nose.
-
2
Roll your RipStik forward by pushing off the ground with the edge of your right foot. Accelerate your caster board by rotating your hips from side to side. Lower your right foot to raise the front wheel off the ground. Jump while smacking the tail of the board against the pavement.
-
3
Kick down on the front section of the RipStik to flip the board into the air. Lift your shoes to prevent the board from making contact. Land on the RipStik as it finishes its rotation to complete the basic trick defined as the kickflip. Practice the kickflip until you master the technique.
-
4
Take a trip to your local skateboarding park to find ramps and rails. Wear a helmet to abide by the skateboard park's safety regulations. Roll up and down the ramps to master the basic transition riding skills. Perform a kickflip as you reach the top of an inclined skateboarding ramp, and allow a friend or fellow rider to film you completing this trick.
-
5
Practice at the skateboard park on a daily basis to increase your caster-board skills. Learn new and more difficult tricks by adding flips and rotations to kickflip procedures. Allow your cameraman to film each of your newly learned tricks. Create a rough edit of your tricks using editing software to create your signature video part.
-
6
Add titles and music to your RipStik part by utilizing the basic editing tools. Convert your digital video part to a hard-copy DVD. Write "Sponsor Me" on the top of the DVD using a black felt-tip marker. Mail your RipStik video to the RipStik headquarters. Await a reply from the RipStik company to determine if you have been accepted as a team rider.
