Skateparks With Foam Pits in Florida

Because skateboarding in public places can be considered a public nuisance and skateboarding near the home can be considered low-level noise pollution, enterprising skateboard enthusiasts began opening skate parks designed with several different ramps and several advantages over the sidewalk or homemade ramps. These private parks were soon joined by public sections added to local recreation centers. This means there are several skate parks with foam pits available year round in the warm-weather state of Florida.
  1. Captain Don Cerbone Memorial Skate Park

    • For skaters of all stripes and skill levels, the Captain Don Cerbone Memorial Skate Park offers several benefits. Started by parents and other concerned citizens worried about the dangers of skateboarding in the street, this public course was designed and built on donations and volunteers. The park itself is outdoors and features 22,000 square feet of riding with a mini-course foam pit, a street course, several ramps and pipes. A board shop is also located on premises for those looking to shop. This skate park offers several additional activities, but since March 13, 2010, the Captain Don Cerbone Memorial Skate Park is free to patrons from dawn to dusk.
