Instructions

    • 1

      Stand next to your board.

    • 2

Place your left foot on the front of the deck just above the trucks and wheels. The trucks are the metal axles that hold the wheels to the skateboard deck.

    • 3

Bend your left knee and transfer your weight to your right foot. Gently push off from the ground with your right foot.

    • 4

Shift your weight back to your left foot once you push off from the ground to propel the board forward. Slowly bring your right foot back behind your left foot on the skateboard deck. Pivot your front foot so both feet are facing toward the side edge of the board and the board is moving forward from the strength of your push.

    • 5

Keep your knees slightly bent while riding to keep your weight centered over the skateboard.

    • 6

Shift your weight back toward the front foot and lower your right foot to the ground to push off and repeat the process again.
