How to Install an Everlast Chinning Bar

Chin-ups and pull-ups are great body weight exercises that can add muscle to your arms. Unfortunately, unlike many other body weight exercises, there are not many places around the house where a chin-up can be performed. Fortunately, there are several different chin-up bars that can be installed unobtrusively around the house to facilitate doing chin-ups and pull-ups at home. One such chin-up bar, made by Everlast, installs easily in to a door frame and is removable for convenience.

Instructions

    • 1

Find a doorway suitable for installing the chin-up bar in. Remember that you will be able to remove the chin-up bar itself when not in use.

    • 2

Use the screwdriver to screw a metal bracket in to the door frame. Make sure to use the side of the door frame that does not have a door in it. Install the chin-up bar brackets near the top of the door, or at whichever height is near the top of your reach.

    • 3

Measure from the top of the door frame down to the top of the metal bracket, and then measure the same distance on the other side.

    • 4

Hold the second bracket at the proper height, found with the measuring tape, and screw in the screws for that bracket.

    • 5

Insert one side of the chin-up bar in to a metal bracket, and then twist the other side so that it is secure in the other bracket.
