How to Move the Seat on a Bowflex XTL
The Bowflex XTL, part of the Bowflex Power Pro family of home exercise machines, is different than previous versions because it includes a pull-down attachment to work THE latissimus dorsi muscles in your back, and a leg extension and leg curl attachment to work the hamstring and quadriceps muscles in your legs. All in all, the Bowflex XTL offers 70 different exercises on one piece of equipment and because of its versatility, occasionally the seat must be moved to perform exercises correctly.

1
Locate the spring-locking pin on the right side of the seat.
-
2
Pull the pin out as far as possible and slide the seat forward or backward to the desired position. The pin will snap in and lock into place inside one of three holes along the seat rail.
-
3
Lift up on the end of the bench portion of the seat, near the vertical tower of the Bowflex XTL, to remove it from the machine. Reattach it by lining up the hinge of the bench with the hinge of the seat and placing it on the rail.
-
4
Pull out on the spring-locking pin, twist it to the right in a half turn and then release it to make the seat slide freely for exercises such as rowing and leg presses.
