1
Lay two sheets of the 8-by-4 foot and 3/4-inch plywood side by side and spread the adhesive along the edges of each. The adhesive will hold the two boards into position, side by side. These two boards will form the bottom of your power lifting platform.
-
2
Place adhesive on the bottom of the two remaining pieces of 8-by-4 foot and 3/4-inch plywood and lay them crosswise on top of the first two pieces of wood. This will ensure that the cracks are not on top of each other. If needed, apply more adhesive to the bottom two sections of plywood.
-
3
Screw the wood screws into the platform along the edges of the wood. Place the screws 16 inches apart along the board.
-
4
Glue the AB plywood on top of the platform on the portion where you will place your weight lifting equipment. Use the wood screws to tighten the board into place along its edges.
-
5
Cut the 8-by-4 foot rubber mat in half lengthwise. Place one mat on each end of the weight lifting platform, parallel with each other. Spread the adhesive on the mats and place them on top of the plywood platform.
-
6
Allow for two to four hours for all the adhesive to dry on the power lifting platform. Stand on the platform to test it out before using it for exercise. Make sure that the boards are secure and do not move when you step onto the platform.
