How to Set Up & Use the NordicTrack

The NordicTrack is a piece of exercise equipment that simulates the motion of cross-country skiing while providing adjustable resistance. Use a NordicTrack to exercise muscle groups in your legs, hips, and arms, as well as get a good cardio workout. Setting up the NordicTrack doesn't take much time and any tools required are included with the equipment.

Instructions

    • 1

Lift the tube at the front and center of the NordicTrack upright until you hear it audibly lock into place.

    • 2

Slide the skis of the NordicTrack into the left and right ski rails, positioned so that the foot slips are facing forward toward the front of the NordicTrack.

    • 3

Set the resistance level of the NordicTrack by sliding the adjustment slider on the front upright tube to one of the numerical settings. Secure the slider by using the pin that's fastened to the upright tube.

    • 4

Step onto the NordicTrack and place each of your feet into the foot holders on the skis. Slightly push your body weight forward into the cushion at the front of the NordicTrack and then grasp the left and right handles of the arm exercising cable that hangs at the front.

    • 5

Pull the arm cable down on one side as you push the ski back with your foot on the same side. Slowly alternate sides and increase the pace until you're comfortable on the machine.
