How to Use the Polar UpLink Tool

The Polar Uplink tool is featured on several of the fitness company's heart rate monitors. This tool enables users to send data from their PC to their monitor's wrist unit. Users can edit personal data such as height and weight, set heart rate zones and create logos to personalize their monitors.

Instructions

      Open the Polar Uplink Tool software. The startup screen appears, displaying the current date and time.

      Ensure your wrist unit is displaying the time. Press the "OK" button three times, located on the right side of the wrist unit. The Settings menu appears.

      Place the wrist unit at a distance of less than 10 centimers from speakers and less than 4 inches from headphones.

      Click the menu labeled "User," "Exercise" or "Logo," located along the top of the UpLink software. Enter the data on each screen. Click "Transfer" when finished to transmit the data to the wrist unit. The wrist unit displays the word "UpLink" and emits a chirping noise during a successful data transmission.

      "UpLink OK" appears on the wrist unit when data transfer is completed. Press and hold the "Back" button when finished, located on the bottom left side of the wrist unit. The wrist unit returns to the time display.
