Proform 495CW Specs

The "CW" in the ProForm 495CW treadmill stands for "crosswalk." ProForm Crosswalk treadmills have upper body exercise arms with adjustable resistance. ProForm produced the 495CW in 2000. It is no longer available as a new product. The 495CW offers basic features including a power incline and an LCD console that provides feedback on your workout.
  1. Design

    • The ProForm 495CW is a motorized, space-saving treadmill made for residential use. The deck folds up and locks in a standing position. ProForm recommends that you make sure you can safely lift at least 45 lbs. before folding up this machine. You can move the treadmill on its front wheels to store it in a corner or a closet, but don't keep the 495CW in the folded position in temperatures above 85 degrees.

    Specifications

    • The ProForm 495CW has a maximum weight limit of 250 lbs. Plug the machine into a grounded outlet that is on a 120-volt, dedicated circuit. The console runs on two "AA" alkaline batteries. The 495CW can handle speeds up to 8 mph. It has two power incline legs on the rear of the deck that you control with an incline switch on the console. The deck is cushioned to reduce some of the impact on your joints.

    Features

    • The crosswalk arms offer you the option to add an upper body element to your treadmill workout. The resistance is manually adjustable using the knobs on the bottom of the crosswalk arms. The 495CW has a tethered safety clip feature. Attach the clip to your clothes and insert the safety key into the console. If you fall during your workout, the safety key pulls out of the console and shuts down the running belt.

    Console

    • The 495CW console offers basic workout information, but doesn't include any built-in workout programs or other advanced features. A water bottle holder is on the left side of the console and an accessory tray is on the right side. An LCD track on the console lights up as you walk. Once the entire track is lit, you have traveled 1/4-mile. The track resets and starts over with every lap. Two display windows show the approximate number of calories you've burned, the speed, elapsed time and the total distance.
