The ProForm XP 580 offers belt speeds up to 10 mph in .1 mph increments. Use the power ramp that inclines between 0 and 10 percent to increase the intensity of your workout and simulate walking or running up hills. The XP 580 has a pre-lubricated walking belt so you don't have to apply any silicone oil or other substance to the belt. The maximum weight capacity of the XP 580 is 300 lbs.

The ProForm XP 580 is a cross-trainer treadmill. It comes with a pair of dumbbells and the built-in programs include strength-training exercises with demonstrations. The deck features the ProForm Pro Shox cushioning to reduce the stress on your joints, especially when running. Pulse sensors on the hand grips allow you to check your heart rate any time during your workout. The ProForm XP 580 folds up to a vertical position, which saves you floor space when you're not using the machine.
Console

The console on the XP 580 has 10 speed adjustment buttons. Press a button to instantly change the belt speed. The power ramp is adjustable in .5 percent increments using the up and down incline arrow buttons on the left side of the console. A built-in fan keeps you cool during your workout. The console has two accessory trays and a dumbbell holder. The display window in the middle of the console shows your workout time, approximate calories burned, speed, incline, distance and heart rate.
Programs

The XP 580 features eight built-in workout programs that control the power incline and the belt speed. Each of the four calorie programs has a preset calorie-burning goal. The treadmill divides the workout into 30, 35, 40 or 45 one-minute segments. Each segment has one speed and one incline setting. The four cross-training programs consist of one upper body, one lower body and two total body workouts. The XP 580 divides the workout into 25, 30 or 45 one-minute segments. When it is time for a strength exercise, the walking belt will slow to a stop. Perform the exercise as the console counts down your repetitions. You will need an exercise ball, which is not included, for some of the exercises.
