1
Plug the power cord on the ProForm treadmill into a surge protector, available at most hardware or grocery stores. Plug the surge protector into a grounded outlet if the treadmill will not operate. Find the circuit breaker switch on the treadmill base. If it has tripped, wait 5 minutes and then reset the switch. Make sure the treadmill power switch is turned "On."
-
2
Verify that the power cord has not been pulled accidentally from the power supply if the treadmill turns off suddenly during use. Remove the key from the console, wait a minute and then place the key back into the console.
-
3
Use a surge protector that is rated 15 amps with a 14-gauge cord that is less than 5-feet long if the walking belt begins to slow unexpectedly during use.
-
4
Remove the safety key, wait 10 seconds, and then re-insert the key if the error code "E2," E3" or "E4" appears on the display. Stand on the foot rails when the treadmill is started each time.
-
5
Clean the pulse sensors with a dry towel if the error code "E5" appears on the display.
-
6
Unplug the treadmill if the walking belt is off-center during use and remove the safety key. Using the included Allen wrench, turn each rear roller bolt counterclockwise for a quarter-turn to adjust the belt. Reinsert the safety key and run the treadmill. Repeat until the belt seems centered.
