How to Troubleshoot a NordicTrack C2200

The NordicTrack C2200 is a treadmill that offers a book holder, fan, accessory tray, pulse sensor, handrail, key clip, cushioned walking platform and an electronic display panel. Sold online and in select fitness supply or gym equipment stores, the treadmill is suitable for home and fitness center use. While the treadmill is sold with a limited warranty to help protect owners who require certain service assistance or repair needs, some troubleshooting may help users determine the cause of more minor problems and find a possible solution.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the power cord on the NordicTrack treadmill firmly to a working power source if the treadmill does not operate. Use a single-outlet surge suppressor, available at most hardware stores, and plug the treadmill into a grounded outlet. Look at the "Reset/Off" circuit breaker on the treadmill base and wait five minutes before pressing the switch if it has popped up.

Remove the safety key from the treadmill console and re-insert it if the power suddenly turns off during use. Check the "Reset/Off" switch and wait five minutes before resetting if it has tripped.

    • 3

Take the safety key out of the console and unplug the power cord to the treadmill if the belt begins to slow unexpectedly during use. Use the included Allen wrench to turn both of the rear roller adjustment bolts, located on the rear of each side of the walking platform, a quarter-turn counterclockwise. Lift each edge of the walking belt with your fingers to verify the belt will lift approximately 3 to 4 inches up and off the platform. Restore power.

Leave the safety key in the console and press one of the "Incline" buttons if the incline is not altering as expected. While the incline is in the process of changing, remove the safety key. Wait a few seconds and re-insert the key, which will make the incline reset.
