Plug the power cord securely into both the jack on the front of the equipment and the wall outlet.

    • 2

Adjust the leveling feet, located on the bottom of all four corners, if the machine rocks on the floor. Determine which of the four corners is not even with the floor and turn the leveling foot counterclockwise until the equipment stops rocking. In some instances, you may have to adjust more than one leveling foot.

Place your hands on the grips on the handrail so your palms are resting against the metal sensors to measure your heart rate. The sensors will not work properly if your hands are positioned in any other way.

Adjust the reed switch if the console is not displaying correct information. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove three screws from the bottom of the shield on the left side of the equipment and pull the shield off. Turn the pulley clockwise and counterclockwise so the magnet passes back and forth over the reed switch. Check to see that the console is now displaying correct information. Replace the shield and tighten the screws to secure the shield in place.
