Listen to music while you workout. If you have a favorite CD that gets you hyped up and ready to move, listen to it while using your treadmill. It will keep you going, and it will help the time seem to go faster during your workout.

Consider listening to a book on tape or CD. Audio books are a great way to pass the time while working out.

Actually read a book. This may take some coordination, but you can read a book while using your treadmill. This will work better if your workout consists of walking on your treadmill.

Watch television while you work out. Set up a television in front of your treadmill. This will allow you to catch up on the latest news or watch your favorite show while working out on the treadmill.

Work on toning other body parts while you use your treadmill. Invest in some wrist weights, and do arm exercises while using the treadmill. Work out a routine where you're getting more of an all over body workout. By trying to do two or more tasks at the same time while on the treadmill, your mind will stay occupied.
