      1. LOSE THE FAT.
      You can't have a great butt if those sexy muscles are hidden behind a huge layer of fat. We all lose weight differently, but following a healthy diet is a great place to start.

      Healthy eating includes whole grains, lots of fruit and vegetables, and low fat dairy products along with less refined sugars and simple carbohydrates. Eat a healthy breakfast. Don't skip meals, and try to limit night-time munching.

      2. BUILD THE MUSCLE
      For some of us, the problem is a lack of butt, not too much butt. If that's you, pay special attention to this step. Even if your butt is oversize, you need to build muscle. Muscle burns fat, and sculps the butt into a beautiful, sexy shape.
      Try these exercises. They are some of the most effective ones out there.
      1. Squats: stand with legs hip-width apart. Squat down as far as possible, but don't let knees go past your toes. This will cause knee problems. Repeat. Start with 20 reps and work up from there. Add 5 lb. weights if you need more resistance.
      2. One-legged squats: Squat with all of your weight on one leg. Start with 15 reps per leg. Add 5 lb. weights if desired.
      3. Butt squeezes: While sitting or standing, squeeze your gluteal muscles as tightly as possible. Hold for 5 seconds. Repeat throughout the day.

      AEROBIC EXERCISE
      You will need to do some form of aerobic exercise to increase fat loss. Choose something that engages the gluteal(butt) muscles. Try walking on hilly terrain, climbing stadium bleachers, or running. Aim for at least 4 days per week.
