1
Place the mounting cage on the wall of the boat, between the engine and the tank, at least one foot away the engine and four inches above the gas tank. Press the mounting bracket of the cage against the boat and mark two dots on the boat by wriggling the point of the marker inside the eyelets of the bracket against the boats interior wall.
-
2
Drill two pilot holes through the radius of the dots with a drill bit that is one-half the circumference of the screws provided by OMC in the Accumix kit. Place the washers with rubber gaskets over the screws provided. Place the bracket against the wall of the boat, align the eyelets with the pilot holes and screw it into place.

3
Grab the fuel line below the nipple where it connects to the outboard motor. Raise the entire line above the tank to drain the fuel. If the fuel line has a an anti-siphon device on it, remove the line from the outboard engine. To do so, loosen the hose clamp and pull the line off the nipple. Drain the fuel into a small container and reattach the line.
-
4
Cut the fuel line in half directly below the Accumixer. Cut a one-inch section off the ends of the fuel line. Slide a hose clamp over each end of the fuel line. Insert one of the OMC provided 90-degree barbed elbows into each of the two ends of line that you made by cutting the line in half. Tighten the hose clamps around the portions of the lines covering the elbows.
-
5
Measure from the fuel line to the Accumixer. Cut two lengths from the extra fuel line provided by OMC equal in distance to your measurement. Attach one length to each of the barbed elbows connected to the two halves of the fuel line. Slide a hose clamp over the end of each length.
-
6
Connect the other end of each length to the Accumix intake and output nipples. Attach the length connected to the line running to the fuel tank to the intake nipple, and connect the length attached to the fuel line running to the engine to the output nipple. Tighten the hose clamps around the ends of the hoses covering the nipples.
