How to Set Up a Remington Three-Person Dome Tent

The Remington three-person dome tent is a lightweight, three-season tent designed for backpacking or car camping. The tent assembles quickly with two adults, and is very similar to other dome tents on the market. Features include a waterproof tub-style floor, sturdy shock-corded poles and a double-coated weather-resistant rain fly for a comfortable and dry camp out. Mesh windows keep out bugs while allowing cool breezes to pass through, minimizing condensation inside.

      Remove the tent from the storage bag and spread it out on an open and level campsite. Clear away any sticks, rocks or other debris, if necessary.

      Extend both of the tent poles. Slide one pole through the sleeve sewn on the top of the tent. Keep the pole from snagging on the sleeve fabric. Repeat for the other pole. The poles will cross in the center.

      Insert one end of a pole into the pin-ring at the base of the tent. Gently bend the pole and put its opposite end into the other corresponding pin-ring. Repeat for the remaining pole.

      Extend the rain fly pole and slide it into the sleeve sewn underneath the rain fly. Spread the rain fly over the tent with the pole hanging over the door. Put the ends of the rain fly pole into the grommets on the tent and attach the "S" hooks located on the edges of the rain fly to the pin-rings at the base of the tent.

      Secure the tent by putting stakes through the loops located next to the pin-rings at the tent base.
