How to Sew a Tent

If you plan ro spend some time in the wilderness, it will help to put together a small tent-repair kit in the event your tent rips. You can also sew together fabric for a simple tent for children to use. Tent material needs to be sealed tightly, so if you have a sewing machine available, use it to make tight stitching for long-lasting tents and tent repairs.

Use a needle and thread, or a sewing machine if it's available, to create a tight double stitch to sew the tent materials together, A double stitch is made automatically by a sewing machine, or manually by hand-stitching the material together by going back over every stitch you make with another stitch.
