Coleman Sundome Specs

The Coleman Sundome tent is one of the most popular tents on the market today. This should come as no surprise; the tent is sturdy, watertight and so easy to set up and take down that it can be done quickly by a single person. It's also one of the most affordable tents out there.

  1. Materials and Warranty

    • Each Sundome tent is manufactured in China with a polyester taffeta 75D flysheet and a polyester mesh 68D inner tent. The floor of the tent is made of polyethylene 1000D for 140 grams per square meter. Each tent carries a one-year manufacturer warranty.

    Waterproofing

    • Sundome tents are created with Coleman's trademark WeatherTec system, which includes watertight, leak-free seams, water-resistant fabric and waterproof floors. Each tent is put through rigorous testing to ensure that it stand up to torrential rain and high winds. Additionally, Sundome tents come equipped with a rain fly for additional protection.

    Ventilation

    • Each tent lets you adjust the airflow with Coleman's trademark Variflo ventilation system. They also come with a trademarked Vented Cool-Air port that not only lets air flow freely through the tent, but also allows for stargazing from inside the tent when the rain fly is left off. A privacy vent window provides additional ventilation and air flow.

    Size

    • The Coleman Sundome tent ranges in size from sleeping two people up to sleeping six. The two-person tent has a 5-foot by 7-foot floor and is 48 inches tall in the center. The three-person tent measures 7 feet by 7 feet and stands 52 inches in the center. The four-person tent is 9 feet by 7 feet and stands 59 inches. The five-person is 10 feet by 10 feet and 72 inches in the center. Finally, the six-person tent, the only one divided into two rooms, is 10 feet by 12 feet, and it also stands 72 inches in the center.
