Alumacraft Canoe Specifications

Although primarily known for motorboats, Alumacraft also makes a line of canoes. Many canoes are made of fiberglass, but Alumacraft's are made from aluminum, which leads to better durability and a lesser chance of cracking. As of 2011, the company offered four canoe models.

    • The QT 185 is 18 feet, 5 inches long and 37 inches wide at its maximum and weighs 67 lbs. The mid-ship depth is 13 inches. The canoe holds four people, or 800 pounds.     CO 17

    • The CO 17 is 17 feet long and 37 inches wide at its maximum. The mid-ship depth is 13 inches, and the transom height is 15 inches. The CO 17 weighs 83 lbs. The canoe can be fitted with an engine of up to 4 horsepower. The CO 17 holds four people, or 805 lbs. It contains two benches, one at each end. It has a .04-inch hull thickness and a cruising keel with a thickness of .625 inches. The canoe has five ribs.

    QT 17

    • The QT 17 is 17 feet long and 36 inches wide at its maximum. Mid-ship depth is 13 inches. The canoe weighs 64 lbs. It holds four people, or 750 lbs. It has a .04-inch hull thickness and a cruising keel with a thickness of .625 inches. The QT 17 has two benches, one at each end. It has five ribs.
