1
Place the plywood sheet on the ground and measure from the bottom of one side 5 feet 8 inches up. Mark this area as the standard height for a dartboard to be hung. The 5 foot 8 inch mark is from the bottom to the center of the bullseye.
-
2
Measure the plywood so there is at least two to three feet of extra space on either side of the dartboard itself. Keep at least two feet of extra space above the dartboard. Cut the plywood to the appropriate size.
-
3
Wrap the plywood sheet in the green felt and cut the material so it covers one side completely and provides a one inch overlap on edges and the opposite side of the sheet. Staple the material to the plywood, keeping the staples on the opposite side of the plywood where the overlap occurs. Keep the felt tight as you staple.
-
4
Have an assistant hold the backboard against the retaining wall and screw it into the wall. Hang the dartboard at the 5 foot 8 inch demarcation.
-
5
Place any score chalkboards on the left or right of the dartboard.
