The Correct Height of a Dart Board

Not many think about the regulation height when buying a dart board. However, there is an official height when hanging a dart board and is used in most countries for tournaments.

  1. Standards

    • The official height used when hanging a dart board is 173 centimeters, or 5-feet- 8-inches. This is the height used when using a throwing distance of 7-feet-9¼-inches from the board.

    Process

    • When measuring to hang the board you will want to go from the base of the wall at the floor up to the center of the bullseye. The bullseye should be hung at the 5-feet-8-inches high off the ground.

    Considerations

    • When mounting the dart board you will want to make sure it is hung flush up against the wall. It cannot be hung on an angle like a picture frame. Make sure the 20-point section of the dart board is at the top.
