How to Dry Your Hydration Pack

Hydration packs are bladders made of a type of plastic material that holds water during outdoor activities. Designed to replace traditional water bottles, hydration packs fit into a special sleeve inside a backpack. A drinking tube is attached to the bottom of the hydration pack and feeds out of the backpack facilitating drinking. Following use, it is essential that a hydration pack be thoroughly cleaned and dried. Although the plastics used in making hydration packs are commonly treated with antimicrobial coatings, it is still essential to dry a pack thoroughly.

Instructions

Thoroughly rinse all cleaning agent residue from the hydration pack after cleaning it. Remove the fill cap from the pack and attempt to shake as much water as possible from the pack.

    • 2

Clip a hydration pack dryer hanger onto the tube port or the point where the drinking tube attaches to the main hydration pack. This section of the dryer features a hook for hanging the pack.

    • 3

Insert the second part of the hydration pack dryer into the round fill opening of the pack. Position the dryer into the opening so that the sides of the pack are apart and air can circulate inside the pack. Clip the drinking tube to the clip located on this dryer part.

Hang the dryer upside down by the hook in a location with good circulation that is out of direct heat and sunlight.
