Instructions

    • 1

Loop the rope around the object that you intend to secure. Allow plenty of rope to hang loosely on both sides.

    • 2

Take the right strand and fold the end upwards, creating a loop that hangs down. Hold this loop at the top and allow the right strand to bend downwards, forming a second loop. This should create an "s" shaped bend in the rope. Pinch these two loops at the center, so there is one at the top and one at the bottom.

    • 3

Slide the left strand into the top loop. Wrap the left strand clockwise three to five times around bent right strand.

    • 4

Slide the left strand through the bottom loop and pull to tighten. Hold the knot and pull the right strand to cinch it against the secured object.
