1
Remove the existing mounts with their scope rings from the base by unscrewing the square cross-lock bolts by hand. Place the see-through mounts on the base in the same positions and screw in the lock bolts.
-
2
Open the see-through mount's elevated scope rings by unscrewing the two screws on each ring with a flat-head screwdriver. Lay the scope on the lower half of each ring and re-install the ring tops by screwing them in place using the existing holes. Slightly tighten the elevated straddle that's attached to the base. Make sure the scope can move.
-
3
Set the scope at its highest magnification as far forward as possible in the mounts. Then establish eye relief by holding the rifle in a normal shooting position and moving the scope to the rear until you get a full field-of-view.
-
4
Rotate the scope until the elevation dial is at the top and verify that the vertical hair of the reticle aligns with the vertical axis of the gun. Tighten the screws on the mount evenly. Verify that you can see the iron sights through the see-through mounts.
