How to Remove the Saiga Handguard
The Saiga line of rifles and shotguns is a family of semi-automatic long arms manufactured in Russia and imported by the Russian American Armory Company. While they are chambered in a variety of calibers and ammunition types, they are all essentially similar in that they use the famous Kalashnikov rifle action, first made famous in the AK-47 assault rifle. Saiga rifles are popular for both sporting and hunting purposes, and a large cottage industry has risen up around converting these rifles and shotguns back to their original Kalashnikov configurations. Removing the hand guard, or fore-end, of the Saiga rifle is a relatively easy task.
