How to Remove an Encore Barrel Lug

Removing a barrel lug from an Encore rifle is a job that can be done in a few minutes with just a few basic tools. The barrel lug sits inside the frame assembly and is welded to the rifle barrel. Occasionally, the weld on the barrel lug will fail, requiring that you remove the barrel lug to repair the weld. The Encore barrel lug is designed to secure the rifle barrel to the frame assembly with a metal hinge pin.
