How to Winterize a Sea Doo GTI 130

The GTI 130 is a personal watercraft made by Sea-Doo. Sea-Doos can be used in fresh or salt water. When summer fades into fall, you can save yourself a lot of headaches the next spring by storing and prepping your Sea-Doo for winter. If left unattended before storing for the off-season, the Sea-Doo can get rusty and develop gummed-up fuel lines.

Instructions

    • 1

Fill a bucket with warm soapy water. Wash the Sea-Doo thoroughly, then rinse it well. Towel dry completely.

    • 2

Open the fuel tank and fill the tank up with fresh gasoline. Add a container of BRP fuel stabilizer to the gas tank. Place the cap on and run the Sea-Doo for about five minutes.

    • 3

Use the XP-S to lube the throttle body and jet pump inlet. Use the spark plug wrench to remove the plugs, then lube the spray sockets. Replace the plug and plug wire after lubricating. Start the Sea-Doo again and lubricate the intake ports and exhaust ports.

    • 4

Drain the old anti-freeze from the Sea-Doo and fill it with fresh antifreeze.

    • 5

Use a wrench to remove the oil drain plug. Drain out the oil. Replace the oil filer and add fresh oil to the engine.

    • 6

Use a wrench to remove the battery and store it separately from the Sea-Doo. Cover the Sea-Doo.
