How to Adjust a Jet Ski Trailer

- 3/8-inch hex bolt

Drive the jet ski onto the trailer from a loading dock. Position the jet ski so the rear is flush with the back end of the bunks.

Loosen the U bolts that attach to the bunks of the trailer to position them closer together or farther apart, using an adjustable wrench. Slide the bunks closer together for smaller jet skies. Tighten the U bolt to secure the bunks in position.

Position the axle forward to decrease the tongue weight. Move the axle back to increase the tongue weight. Loosen the U bolt connected to the axle adjuster. Slide the axle adjuster forward or backward depending on the size and weight of your jet ski. Tighten the U bolt once the axle is properly seated. Bigger jet skies require an increased tongue weight.

Loosen the winch adjustment using an adjustable wrench. Slide the winch roller back until it touches the bow of your jet ski. Place a 3/8-inch hex bolt in the lowest slot on the winch bracket. Tighten the bolt to secure the winch roller and bracket in position.
