How to Install a Shimano LX Crank & Bottom Bracket

The LX level of mountain bike components are made by the Japanese company Shimano. LX cranks are attached to the bottom bracket, a self-enclosed spindle that allows the cranks to turn and spin when the pedals as engaged. The LX bottom bracket is a sealed cartridge-style bracket and is installed into the bicycle's bottom bracket housing on the frame. You may perform this installation at home in your workshop.
