Instructions

    • 1

Identify the parts of the weapon you want to upgrade. A few options to consider are picatinny style fore-end rails for mounting accessories such as lights, sights and lasers. Higher-powered batteries and a new gear motor result in longer shooting range, longer game play and better performance.

    • 2

Verify that the weapon power is turned off. Disconnect the battery, and unload the weapon completely. Visually inspect the weapon to ensure no ammunition is present.

    • 3

Remove the fore-end screws on the CYMA M14. Take off the factory fore-end. Replace the factory fore-end with the picatinny style fore-end rail. Now you can install other accessories made to fit on the rails such as flashlights and optics.

Remove the battery cover and motor gearbox cover plates. Disconnect the wires from the battery and the motor. Unscrew the motor, and remove the battery.

    • 5

Install the new high-torque motor, and replace the cover plate. Connect the new 9.6-volt battery to the motor. As all available motors and batteries vary, consult the manufacturer's instructions for proper installation.

    • 6

Unscrew the factory sights from the sight base on the weapon. Remove the factory sights from the top of the receiver. Install an optical scout scope or laser scope sight -- whichever you prefer -- in place of the factory sights. As all airsoft sights vary, consult the manufacturer's instructions for proper installation.
