1
Remove any magazines, clips and ammunition from the weapon before starting work. Make sure the weapon is empty and safe to handle before starting.
-
2
Locate the drilled-and-tapped accessory mounting points on the receiver or forearm of the weapon. Look for two or more small holes spaced evenly along a straight line. The holes may or may not have screws inserted in them as plugs to seal out debris and dust.
-
3
Remove the screw-in plugs, if necessary, from the drilled mounting points. Use an Allen wrench to loosen and remove the screw-in plugs.
-
4
Place the Picatinny rail over the drilled and tapped mounting points on the receiver or forearm. Line up the holes in the rail with the holes in the weapon.
-
5
Insert threaded Allen head screws through the Picatinny rail and into the drilled-and-tapped accessory mounting points. Turn the Allen head screws to the right or clockwise to thread and tighten.
