  1. Cushioning Shoes

    • The ASICS Gel Kayano is one of the classic models of ASICS, which offers control and comfort for light- to medium-impact runners. The gel layer between the sole and the instep helps cushion the impact with the ground. The 16th edition is the latest model and can be obtained from online stores such as Zappos and Nextag. The ASICS Gel Kayano is also used for crosstraining and cheerleading. Other models of the cushioning-type shoes are the Gel Kanbarra 3, Gel Fluent, Gel Equation 2, Gel Cumulus 10, Gel Landreth 4, Gel Strike, Gel Kushon and Gel Speedstar 3.

    Trail Shoes

    • This ASICS GT 2150 running shoes offer good control mixed with comfort due to its structured cushioning technique, both on the soles and on the sides of the shoes. This shoe has two layers of sole cushions (called DuoMax technology), which gives rigid support. Retailing for around $95, this line is targeted to experienced runners who make frequent turns. Other trail shoe models are the GEL-Trabuco 11, Gel 2140, Gel Enduro-4, Trail Attack 4 WR and Gel Trail Sensor 2 WR.

    • The ASICS Gel Nimbus 11 is the 11th edition of the popular shoe line with the Intelligent Guidance System, which evenly distributes the weight and force of each step on the sole. It has specifically-placed cushions and support to maintain the person's natural gait. The midsole of the ASICS Gel Nimbus 11 also tends to crush in a bit, called the Space Trusstic System, which allows you to roll naturally from your heel to toe.

    Walking Shoes

    • For those who need the combination of extra traction, support and water resistance, have walking shoes as an option. The Gel Tech Walker Neo has an asymetrical lacing design to help eliminate irritations caused by the tightness of the laces of the shoes. It also has a gel pockets in both the rear foot and gel foot for extra shock absorption qualities when walking. The Gel Fitwalk Lyte D's midsole has a SpEVA material, which helps create bounce and reduces the breakdown of the midsole section for longer usage.
