How to Fold Up a Coleman 3 in One Blanket

The Coleman 3-in-1 blanket is a waterproof and windproof (on one side) camping blanket that folds up and stores into its hood. The blanket is easily folded up and into the hood, and even has a carrying strap. In addition the hood storage bag, the blanket folds into a poncho for rain and wind protection. The 3-in-1 makes a handy picnic blanket or extra layer for outdoor sports games.

Instructions

  1. Folding Into the Poncho

      Pull the blanket out of the hood storage bag by pulling the Velcro edges open and tugging on the blanket fabric. Turn it over so the fleece side faces your body.

      Drape the side up and around your shoulder, much like a toga, and fasten the Velcro edges at the shoulder.

      Grab the other side of the fabric and bring it up to your opposite shoulder, like the other side, and attach the Velcro edges. Keep the nylon side facing out to shed rain and wind. Keep the hood up by the neck to place on your head when needed.

    Folding Back Into the Hood

      Spread the blanket out so the nylon side is facing down. Locate the hood in the center of one side. Fold the blanket into thirds so it aligns with the hood.

      Fold the blanket into thirds again, but from the bottom, opposite side of the hood.

      Stuff the folded blanket into the hood stuff sack and close the Velcro edges.
